Russia waiting for the EU and U.S. reaction to the catastrophe data.

On July 22 Russia officially handed over to the EU all the objective monitoring data about the crash of the Malaysian Airlines Boeing in Ukraine.

This happened a day after the Russian Defense Ministry disclosed the Russian tracking results at a briefing in Moscow. The Russian military described the situation prevailing in the Donetsk region of Ukraine before the crash.

This information raised a number of questions that the Russian military put to Kiev. In particular, what caused the increased activity of Ukrainian radars before and on the day of the tragedy and the "all clear" signal after it? What were the batteries of the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missiles "Buk" doing before the crash near the territory controlled by militias, and why were they withdrawn immediately after it? Why was the Ukrainian Air Force attack plane Su-25 so close to the Boeing at a distance of 3 to 5 kilometers shortly before the disaster, and why is this fact being denied by Kiev?

Kiev has not answered Moscow’s questions that were asked two days ago. At the briefing in Moscow, Gen. Andrei Kartapolov, head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces also asked the United States a fundamentally important question to clarify the circumstances leading to the crash of the liner:

According to representatives of the U.S. they have images from space, confirming that the launch of the anti-aircraft missile in the direction of Malaysian Airliner was made by the militias. But these pictures have not been seen by anybody. If the American side does have in its possession satellite images, we ask them to please provide them to the world community for a detailed study. Whether it is a coincidence or not, but the fact is that the crash of the Boeing and the observation time of the U.S. satellite over the Ukrainian territory are the same, said the representative of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Americans have not shown these pictures to anyone, neither the EU nor Moscow. Although they promised to do so on Tuesday. On the same day, at a briefing in Washington, U.S. intelligence officials were unable to provide any evidence of involvement of militias and Russia in the collapse of Boeing. Although both the White House and the State Department promised that special services will present convincing evidence about the shooting down of the Malaysian Boeing. "We do not know the name, we do not know the rank, and we're not 100 percent sure of the nationality of the person who shot the Boeing," said a U.S. intelligence spokesman.

Instead of the exclusive satellite pictures, the US intelligence presented at the briefing scant information in the form of space imagery and data from social networks. And on this basis, they announced the version according to which the airplane “could have been shot down by mistake by militias.” However, U.S. intelligence agencies admitted that they cannot confirm the authenticity of the materials from the Internet, released by the Ukrainian government. Earlier, a number of experts pointed to clear signs of fabrication of the material released in the social networks which was presented as evidence by the U.S. and Ukrainian officials.

Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Igor Shishkin does not see anything unexpected in the U.S. position:

“Such development should be expected. No matter what evidence Russia produces on the incident, the United States will not recognize it under any circumstances,. Russian evidence has officially been described as propaganda. They will insist on their version without providing any evidence. And it appears they simply do not have any.”

U.S. intelligence acknowledged at the briefing that the agency has no evidence of involvement of Moscow in the incident, or evidence that Russia allegedly trained militias to use anti-aircraft missiles "Buk."

The version often repeated in the West that these complexes were transported from Russia to the militia has also exploded. Special services representative admitted that U.S. intelligence has not recorded any movement of the systems "Buk" across the border between Russia and Ukraine.
