Barzani told Sky News Arabic that Turkey was also among the countries that sent arms to the region when ISIL attacked Iraqi Kurdistan, adding that Turkey did not want this news to be announced.
- “We have to tell the truth. On our first night when we were attacked by ISIL, Iran sent us two airplanes full of weapons. This was a great help for that moment … We would have expected it from Turkey too, and Turkey sent [arms] later but asked us not to announce it due to domestic conjuncture.
The presidential elections were near and ISIL was holding their hostages,” the KRG leader said.
Meanwhile, Turkey is treating some 422 PYD members injured in ISIL’s attacks, in the Suruç district of the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa. In addition to the civilians who fled from Kobane to Turkey, members of the PYD who have fought against ISIL since Oct. 4 and have been wounded in Kobane were also treated in Turkish hospitals.

Διότι είναι γνωστό ότι την ενίσχυε και οικονομικά και με παροχή οπλισμού, πέραν του γεγονός ότι έκαναν τα στραβά μάτια στα πορώδη σύνορα μεταξύ της Τουρκίας, της Συρίας και του Ιράκ, από όπου περνούσαν όλοι αυτοί οι υποψήφιοι τρομοκράτες με διαβατήρια χωρών – μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, ακόμη και των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών.Αυτά λέχθηκαν.
Τα λέει ο καθένας, ακόμη και ο ίδιος ο Αντιπρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, στο Χάρβαρντ, δεν είπε τίποτε άλλο παρά αλήθειες και νομίζω είναι σε όλους γνωστά. Iraqi Kurdistan plans to increase the capacity of its oil pipeline via Turkey to 700,000 barrels per day (bpd) following upgrade work, industry sources and officials said on Oct. 27....
ReplyDeleteIt will raise the flow to 400,000 bpd by year-end, from a current 280,000 bpd, adding further pressure to falling world oil prices already hit by rising supply.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has quietly pressed ahead with plans to expand oil pumping capacity in the teeth of opposition to its oil exports from the Baghdad government and as it fights against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants.
“There is further technical upgrade work ongoing right now and once that is finished, the pipeline capacity will reach its designed volume which is 700,000 bpd,” one industry source said.
