ReplyDeleteSyria’s UN Ambassador Bashar Jaafari said the United States had not warned Damascus beforehand about plans to deliver weapons to the Kurdish forces in Kobane.
“No, we had not been warned. They did this only once when the US permanent representative [Samantha Power] met with me to inform my government of the beginning of the military operation,” the diplomat said.

Os militares norte-americanos não confirmaram o relato, mas adiantaram que estavam a examinar um vídeo colocado na Internet em que se observa um homem mascarado com o que parece ser uma plataforma de transporte de mercadorias ligada a um paraquedas.
Os aviões dos EUA largaram de paraquedas plataformas com armas, munições e material médico, na noite de segunda-feira, para reabastecer os curdos que estão a defender Kobane dos combatentes do Estado Islâmico (EI).

Some 27 bundles containing small arms, ammunition and other weaponry were dropped on Monday for militias defending the town of Kobane from IS.
