At least two people are dead in the hostage situation in Paris, said a police officer at the scene. The gunman is believed to be the killer of the police officer in Montrouge yesterday.
Reports suggest that several hostages, including women and children, may have been taken in a Jewish shop in eastern Paris. A lockdown is now in place in schools close to the reported shooting at the Jewish shop, according to the AFP news agency.
Gun fire has been heard in the bakery, with employees and clients trapped in the basement, according to AFP.
The entire area is being evacuated by police. A lawyer in the area confirmed an evacuation has been ordered.

ReplyDeleteSpezialeinheiten der französischen Polizei haben eine Druckerei und einen Supermarkt in Paris gestürmt. Dort hatten die beiden mutmaßlichen „Charlie Hebdo“-Attentäter beziehungsweise ein möglicher Komplize der beiden Geiseln genommen.
Offenbar gleichzeitig haben Spezialeinheiten der Polizei in Frankreich eine Druckerei und einen Supermarkt gestürmt, in denen sich jeweils Geiselnehmer verschanzt hatten.
Nordöstlich von Paris stürmte die Polizei den Unterschlupf der mutmaßlichen Attentäter des Satiremagazins „Charlie Hebdo“ gestürmt. Das berichten französische Medien übereinstimmend unter Berufung auf Polizeiquellen. A woman in tears approached French police outside the kosher supermarket where hostages were held captive by a gunman in northeast Paris, saying her 37-year-old daughter just managed to call from the supermarket and told her five people have already been killed, the BBC reported....
ReplyDeleteThe daughter said many hostages were in the basement of the supermarket. The conversation was interrupted by other hostages making the woman stop talking for her own safety.
