At Least 10 Migrants Killed After Several Boats Capsize in Mediterranean

As many as sixteen boats sent out distress signals during the day, according to the Il Messaggero newspaper.

Ten migrants have been confirmed dead, while two are reported to be in critical condition.

The Mediterranean Sea is one of the main routes for migrants fleeing conflicts in Africa and the Middle East and trying to reach Europe.

According to the Italian Coast Guard, a total of 3,690 migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean on Saturday.
