German federal prosecutors say they have charged two Turkish men with supporting a foreign terrorist organization for allegedly sending money and equipment to a group fighting in Syria.
The two, identified only as 41-year-old İsmet D. and 44-year-old Emin F. in line with German privacy laws, are accused of sending 7,750 euros ($8,320) to the Islamic extremist Junad al-Sham organization in several transactions between June 2013 and November 2014.
Prosecutors said Thursday that the two also paid for plane tickets for four chechens to fly to Turkey so that they could cross into Syria and join the organization to fight.
