Iraq spoke out against foreign interference in its fight against terrorism

The fight against terrorism in Iraq would be limited to “the hands of the Iraqi forces” without foreign interference. The journalists said the Foreign Minister of Iraq Ibrahim al-Jaafari in Bahrain’s capital Manama where the meeting of the First Arab-Indian Forum. His words leads RIA Novosti .

According to the minister the actual control of land or any other operations against terrorism in Iraq will be carried out without the intervention of any other forces except for certain advisers.

Al-Jaafari said that “Iraq – a sovereign state that will not allow anyone to violate its sovereignty.” At the same time he expressed hope that this year will be able to put an end to the terrorist group “Islamic state” throughout Iraq.

January 22 Pentagon chief Ashton Carter said the US soon will transfer to Iraq elite 101st Airborne Division which will take part in the battles against the IG. However he warned that Iraqi troops replaced in the battles against the Islamists Americans can not.

In December Iraq broke diplomatic conflict with Turkey which is near Mosul deployed a battalion of soldiers with armored vehicles. The official purpose of the mission was declared training local militia to fight terrorists from the “Islamic state.”

The authorities have qualified the actions of Turkey as an invasion. Baghdad rejected the possibility of a military operation and unmatched demanded the immediate withdrawal of Turkish troops by contacting UN.

The group “Islamic State” in the summer of 2014 established control over a large territory of Syria and Iraq declaring the caliphate there. US led international coalition which includes 65 states anti-IG. Since August 2014 the Alliance forces applied to air strikes on positions of terrorists. Russian aerospace forces also are supporting the forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad to September 30 2015.

Activities of the group “Islamic State” is prohibited on the territory of Russia.
