The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said U.S.-led air strikes killed 15 people early Tuesday when a bakery was hit in the city of Shadadi, near the border with Iraq.
According to Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the UK-based monitoring group, all the fatalities were civilians who had gathered outside the bakery to buy bread.
He added that several air strikes were conducted inside Shadadi and its surrounding areas.
Al-Shadadi is a logistics center for the Islamic State (IS) group. It is situated on a network of highways and whose capture will isolate Raqqa, the defacto capital of the terrorist organization.
