Kremlin does not comment on media reports of Russian arms supplies to Iraqi Kurds

The Kremlin does not comment on alleged weapons supplies to Iraqi Kurds by Russia, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

Answering a journalist’s question on whether Russia supplied weapons to Iraqi Kurds and whether the delegation of Iraqi Kurds will arrive in Moscow in April to discuss new arms deliveries, Peskov said: "I would rather not comment on this, I do not have any information on this matter. No comment here."

Several media previously reported that Russia supplied five Zu-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannons and around 20,000 rounds of ammunition to Iraqi Kurds.

It was noted that the weapons were delivered through Baghdad on coordination with the central government.
