Germany has denied reports that Russia considers «the enemy»

German defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen told reporters in Berlin that the new version of the «White book», which is formulated in the military doctrine of Germany, Russia is not called neither «adversary» or «opponent», as previously reported.

About it reports on Tuesday, June 7, the news Agency RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the Ambassador of Germany to Russia rüdiger von Fritsch also said that the White paper has not yet been published and all of the media quotes are speculation.

We will remind, on 4 June, German newspaper Die Welt reported that the new version of the «White book» Germany calls Russia not «partner» as it was before, and «rival». According to the newspaper, the document States that Russia «blurs the lines between war and peace, but also promotes their interests by violent means. In support of this thesis, the document allegedly says about the annexation of Crimea and military intervention in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

«If in Russia will not happen fundamental changes, this country will represent a threat to the security of our continent,» Die Welt quoted the alleged «White paper».
