Russia MoD has measured the degree of Russophobic hysteria in the statements of NATO Secretary General

The defense Ministry said the increase in the degree of Russophobic hysteria in the statements of NATO functionaries about the exercises of the Russian armed forces. The corresponding statement was made by an official representative of the military Department Igor Konashenkov, reports TASS.

“Predictable, that the degree of Russophobic hysteria of some representatives of the Alliance increased sharply ahead of a summit of the countries-participants of NATO in Europe. It is obvious that the real purpose of such statements about “Russian military threat” is the deliberate injection of panic and maintaining the image of a cunning enemy, against which it is possible to get huge military budgets”, — said Konashenkov.

He noted that the surprise inspection of the Russian armed forces do not violate international agreements in which Russia is obliged to provide information about the military activity in the area of application of the measures for strengthening confidence and security. Allegations of violation of the provisions of the Vienna document 2011, he rejected, as the current doctrine does not fall under its legal regime. He also stressed that Moscow “in good faith” gave the military attaches of the NATO countries and through the channels of the OSCE, about the beginning of a sudden check combat readiness.

“The current statement of the Secretary General of NATO — from the final arias Russophobic performance for the taxpayers of the countries – participants of the Alliance, which will have to fork out to fight an imaginary Russian military threat”, — concluded the Konashenkov.

Earlier on 15 June, the Secretary-General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg accused Russia of undermining transparency and predictability in bilateral relations with NATO. He said that Moscow does not fulfill the agreement on the prevention of Western countries about the beginning of unannounced inspections of combat readiness and for the admission of Alliance experts to monitor the maneuvers.

Sudden check of combat readiness of the Russian armed forces began on June 14 in all military districts and will continue until June 22. The event named check mobilization readiness, state of reserve units, stockpiling weapons and military equipment.
