Russia and Syria won't extend Aleppo humanitarian pause unilaterally

Unilateral prolongation of the humanitarian pause in Aleppo by Russia and the Syrian government will be impossible, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told the media on Wednesday.

"I rule out the possibility Russia and the Syrian government will be able to jointly prolong the humanitarian pause," Ryabkov said. "A decision may follow only on the basis of agreements."

"Unilateral prolongation would be tantamount to retreat. We will not agree to it," he added.[tass.com]
