Spain government: number of unemployed dropped by record levels in 2016

The number of unemployed workers registered in Spain dropped in 2016 by a margin not seen since 1999, the government announced on Wednesday.


According to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, the number of unemployed workers fell by 390,534 over the course of 2016, perhaps the most substantial annual drop on record.
