6.6 Magnitude earthquake hits northwest China
A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck Jinghe County, in Xinjiang autonomous region, in northwest China, early Wednesday morning, although no fatalities have been reported, according to state news agency Xinhua.

This earthquake occurred just hours after a 7-magnitude quake shook the central province of Sichuan on Tuesday night, one of the most powerful tremors to hit China in recent years, causing at least 13 deaths and 175 injured so far.
