Taliban call on world community to unfreeze Afghanistan’s financial assets- TASS

The Taliban (outlawed in Russia) call on the international community to recognize their government and unfreeze Afghanistan’s financial assets, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said on Thursday.

"We want to build good relations with the international community by means of diplomacy. Everything that is in Afghanistan’s interests is in the interests of the world community and stability in Afghanistan is important for the entire world," he said in an interview with the Japanese HNK television channel.

Mujahid called on the international community to recognize the Taliban government and light the freeze on Afghanistan’s financial assets, stressing that the current government is interim and discussions on how to make it more inclusive continue.
