UK Petrol Prices Hit New Record High amid Warning ‘Worst Is Yet to Come’ - Tasnim News Agency

UK Petrol prices have climbed to a new high of 178.5p a liter as drivers associations warned that the “worst is yet to come”.

The price of petrol increased by 0.6p in just 24 hours on Tuesday morning, and the price of diesel also soared to 185.2p a liter, The Independent reported.

Drivers were warned that “frightening” petrol prices would hit 180p per liter this week, with the RAC calling on the government to intervene at the pumps and help lower costs for families.

They said that the soaring prices are “fast becoming a national crisis” and that the worst is yet to come.
