Russian Diplomat Rejects Israeli Envoy's Claim on Use of Iranian Drones in Ukraine

Vasily Nebenzya, the permanent representative of Russia to the UN, rejected the claims made by the Israeli regime envoy Gilad Erdan over the alleged use of Iranian drones in Ukraine, calling them an effort to exert pressure on the UN Security Council.

Erdan claimed that Iranian drones are being used in Ukraine.

"Today, we were surprised to hear from the permanent representative of Israel categorical statements about the allegedly proven fact of the use of Iranian drones in Ukraine. We see this as an attempt to put pressure on the Security Council and the UN Secretariat, the desire to impose our opinion on the international community as the ultimate truth," Nebenzya said.

"We have already rejected and now categorically reject such statements," he stressed.

On Monday and Tuesday, Nasser Kanaani, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, denied reports in the American media that Iran had supplied Russia with weaponry for use in Ukraine.

His Russian foreign ministry conterpart, Maria Zakharova, said that the issue of Russia's acquisition of combat drones from Iran was forcibly introduced into American media.

The Pentagon spokesman has also said that the United States has no evidence that Iran is supplying Russia with ground-based missiles to destroy ground targets.
