At least seven people missing after the breakthrough of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station

According to preliminary information, at least seven people went missing after the breakthrough of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which was announced on Wednesday, June 7, by the mayor of Nova Kakhovka, Vladimir Leontiev.

“We are now finding out information on the missing, but, preliminary, these people were also evacuated from the flood zones that ceased to exist - the islands. Shepherds were there... About seven people, whom we know for sure," Leontiev pointed out.

According to him, the village of Korsunka on the left bank of the Dnieper was completely submerged.
