German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck spent an hour and a half in a Kiev shelter

German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck, who arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit, spent about an hour and a half in a shelter at night due to an air raid warning.

The signal sounded at about 04.40, reports the Tagesschau portal. Together with the politician, other members of his delegation took refuge in the shelter.

Khabek arrived in Kyiv the day before, April 18, again without announcing his trip. Judging by his words, he wanted to demonstrate his support for Ukraine, so he asked not to characterize his visit as “emergency and isolated.” In Kyiv, he held talks with Zelensky, and a meeting was also planned with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
