Negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program nearing finalization.

Negotiations of the “six” intermediaries (the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany) have entered the final stage.

In the near future, Foreign Minister of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif will meet with all of the foreign ministers from the six mediator countries in Geneva.

On the eve, Zarif continued talks with Lady Ashton, who coordinates the position of “six” in these negotiations. The main dispute turned around the restriction of Iran's nuclear fuel enrichment process, which mentions, in the final text, the right to peaceful development of nuclear energy as integrated in the NPT treaty of 1968.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Arakchi declared that negotiators may sign a long-awaited agreement on the Iranian nuclear program by the end of the current round of Geneva. This agreement, valid for a period of six months will be an intermediate one and outlines parameters of a comprehensive agreement, which will provide the international community with an obligation on the part of Iran that it will not develop a military nuclear program.
