"I have decided to cancel the working visit to Turkey in connection with the sharp deterioration of the situation in the Donetsk region, in particular in the Amvrosiyevka and Starobeshevo," he said.
Poroshenko also said a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council would be convened on Thursday to work out a plan of further action.
Ukraine has also asked to convene a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
"The world must give an assessment to the sharp deterioration of the situation in Ukraine," Poroshenko said.
The Ukrainian president was to leave for Turkey for the inauguration of President Tayyip Erdogan. Poroshenko was planned to have seven bilateral meetings during the visit.http://en.itar-tass.com/world/747039

ReplyDeleteLe président ukrainien Piotr Porochenko a annulé sa visite en Turquie et convoque d'urgence une réunion du Conseil de sécurité nationale et de défense de l'Ukraine (SNBO) "en raison de l'aggravation brutale da la situation dans la région de Donetsk", annonce jeudi le service de presse du président dans un communiqué.
"J'ai décidé d'annuler ma visite de travail en Turquie à la suite de l'aggravation brutale de la situation dans la région de Donetsk, notamment à Amvrossievka et Starobechevo" a déclaré le chef de l'Etat ukrainien.
Selon lui, "les troupes russes sont entrées en Ukraine".
Le communiqué annonce également que Kiev veut initier d'urgence la convocation d'une réunion du Conseil de sécurité de l'Onu.
