“We have managed to upgrade the equipment currently in service, to get new armaments, and to reorganize and retool the defense industries that manufacture armaments and repair hardware,” he said.
“We have also managed to regroup our forces, to carry out deep reconnaissance and to gather more information about the enemy,” Lysenko said.
“We have completed the third wave of mobilization. We have replaced the units that needed that, we gave them a chance to have some rest after heavy fighting and to get back to normal,” Lysenko said.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko presented a similar vision of the results of armistice last week. During a trip to Lviv he said that Kiev should “effectively use the ceasefire regime to reinforce defences and enhance the army’s combat readiness.”
Poroshenko said that Ukraine had shifted the economy onto the war track and was doing its utmost to make the army stronger.

ReplyDeleteOfficial Kiev has reported on how it used ceasefire with the militia in the Donbas. Armed forces were regrouped, work of defense industry installations was optimized, and the next wave of mobilization was completed. In fact, only the date on which the east will come under attack was not mentioned. But the Kiev authorities leave no doubt that Ukraine is preparing to continue the war at a heightened pace.
A month has passed since the beginning of the truce in the Ukraine, and Kiev authorities are summarizing their achievements. On Tuesday Yuri Lutsenko, Advisor to the President of Ukraine told in a Ukrainian television broadcast that hundreds of armored vehicles and thousands of well-trained soldiers have been deployed at the front line during this time.
On Monday Andriy Lysenko, spokesman of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine reported that damaged military equipment has been repaired, Army forces regrouped, and a deeper intelligence operation carried out.
