Polish foreign minister: EU is not planning to soften sanctions against Russia

The European Union is not planning to soften its sanctions imposed on Russia over its policy in Ukraine, Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna said after an EU Council meeting on Monday.

It would be bad if the revision of sanctions and their consequences ended in their suspension, he added.
The Polish foreign minister said the EU should consistently preserve its sanctions, which could be revised only if Russian changed its stance.
