Statement by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini on the attack on a school in Peshawar, Pakistan...
ReplyDeleteSTATEMENT(EEAS):
"The attack today on a military school in Peshawar leaves all of us in shock. When innocents are killed, when children are targeted in their place of study, it is an attack not only on universally recognised values and rights but also on the future of the country, on all our futures.
I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and my support to the people and the authorities of Pakistan on this tragic day.
What happened today reminds all of us how strong the threat posed by the Taliban still is and how fragile and dangerous the situation in the region remains. The European Union stands fully committed to tackle the threat posed by terrorism and ready to further assist the Pakistani government."
