“We do not leave hostile actions on the part of Washington without response. We will be making decisions on possible response measures depending on how the United States will use the new law in practice,” he said.
“The Russian side is ready for dialogue and cooperation, but only on principles of equality, real account for our interests. Attempts to pressure us are anyway doomed to fail,” Lukashevich said.

ReplyDeleteThe European Union's unanimous resolve to punish Russia for its aggression in Ukraine appeared to be cracking as French, German, Austrian and Italian leaders voiced concern at an alliance summit of inflicting too much pain on Moscow as its economy tumbles.
French President Francois Hollande was the first to step out of the 28-nation bloc's collective drive for further sanctions on Russia when they were discussed at a summit in Brussels on Thursday night.
"There were no new sanctions [adopted], because there should not be," Hollande told reporters after the session. ReplyDeleteNach der EU haben am Freitag auch die USA und Kanada ihre Sanktionen gegen Russland und die annektierte Krim-Halbinsel verschärft. Die Maßnahmen betreffen verschiedene Bereiche sowie Personen und Unternehmen.
Die neuen Sanktionen gälten für Güter, Technologie und Dienstleistungen, sagte Obama in Washington. Zudem ermächtigte er das Finanzministerium zu weiteren Strafmaßnahmen gegen Personen und Unternehmen in der Region.
Die Krim wurde nach einer international nicht anerkennten Volksabstimmung von Russland übernommen. Obama sprach von einer „russischen Besatzung und versuchten Annexion“ der Krim, die beendet werden müsse. Το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών της Ρωσίας εξέφρασε την Παρασκευή την απογοήτευσή του τόσο για την επικύρωση νέου νόμου για την επιβολή κυρώσεων από τον Αμερικανό πρόεδρο Μπαράκ Ομπάμα όσο για τη στάση που τηρούν οι ΗΠΑ στο ζήτημα της Ουκρανίας. Επισήμανε μάλιστα ότι ο νόμος αυτός είναι «εκ φύσεως αντιρωσικός»...
ReplyDeleteΟ πρόεδρος Ομπάμα διευκρίνισε πάντως την Πέμπτη ότι δεν σκοπεύει να επιβάλει νέες κυρώσεις σε βάρος της Μόσχας προς το παρόν.
«Δεν αφήνουμε αναπάντητες τις εχθρικές ενέργειες της Ουάσινγκτον» ανέφερε στην ανακοίνωσή του το ρωσικό υπουργείο. «Οι αποφάσεις αναφορικά με την πιθανή απάντησή μας θα εξαρτηθούν από το πώς οι ΗΠΑ θα χρησιμοποιήσουν στην πράξη τον νέο νόμο», πρόσθεσε.
«Η Ρωσία είναι έτοιμη για διάλογο και συνεργασία αλλά μόνο με βάση τις αρχές τις ισότητας και του πραγματικού σεβασμού στα δικαιώματά μας. Οι απόπειρες άσκησης πίεσης θα αποτύχουν σε κάθε περίπτωση», προστίθεται στο κείμενο αυτό.
