Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic urged on Monday the conflicting sides in Ukraine to immediately stop a new wave of violence and return to the negotiating table. 

In his letter to the Ukrainian conflicting sides Dacic called on both parties to stream their efforts toward the de-escalation of tensions, observe ceasefire and cooperate with the OSCE in the field of Minsk agreements’ implementation.

  1. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday called for an immediate and full cessation of hostilities in East Ukraine as violence escalate in the restive areas...

    "The Secretary-General is alarmed by the severe escalation of fighting for control of Donetsk airport in eastern Ukraine, which has already caused numerous casualties and threatened to completely unravel a hard-won September 2014 cease-fire," said a statement issued here by Ban's spokesperson.

    Ban stressed that further deterioration of a situation that has led to heavy loss of life and civilian suffering "must be avoided at all costs."

    Current “war party” advance in eastern Ukraine is clearly timed by Kiev ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on January 19, Russian Foreign Ministry said Sunday.

    “Current advance of the ‘war party’ is clearly timed before the upcoming EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on January 19,” the statement published on foreign ministry’s website reads.

  3. El presidente de la OSCE pide la paz a las partes del conflicto en Ucrania ...

    El canciller de Serbia y presidente en funciones de la OSCE, Ivica Dacic, llamó este lunes a las partes del conflicto ucraniano a establecer la tregua.

    Dacic exhortó a Kiev y a las milicias a "aplicar inmediatamente todos los esfuerzos para la distensión de las tensiones, cumplir la tregua y cooperar activamente con la OSCE".

    Concretamente hizo un llamamiento a que "todas las partes" se abstengan de combatir, amenazar y provocar.

    Todas las cuestiones en litigio deben solucionarse por medio del Grupo de Contacto y llamó a ambas partes a garantizar la seguridad para todos los observadores de la misión de la OSCE, subrayó Dacic.

  4. Moscou : Kiev aggrave la crise en proposant la loi martial ...

    La proposition du groupe parlementaire du premier ministre d'Ukraine Arseni Iatseniouk Front populaire d'instaurer la loi martiale dans l'est du pays empêche l'établissement du dialogue et ne fait qu'approfondir la crise, a déclaré le vice-ministre des Affaires étrangères de Russie Grigori Karassine.
