The Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization forces are completing their
preparations to start the third stage of the campaign which aims at
expelling ISIL from Salahuddin province and providing the military's
troops with positions of direct confrontations with the terrorist group
in Tikrit.
Al-Manar correspondent reported that the Iraqi army units and the Popular Mobilization forces continued targeting ISIL's sites in the city in order to isolate their gatherings and to cut off their supply lines.
ISIL terrorists deliberately torched an oil field eastern Tikrit, the correspondent added.

Iraqi army drives IS from key town...
ReplyDeleteIraqi forces have pushed Islamic State (IS) fighters out of the western town of al-Baghdadi, the US military says.
The town, which was taken over by IS last month, is about 8km (5 miles) from a base housing hundreds of US troops who are training Iraqi soldiers.
