Yatseniuk called for a referendum on the Constitution of Ukraine

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in favor of holding a referendum on a new constitution. The Head of Government said on local television said on Sunday January 24 RIA Novosti .

“It is time for the Ukrainian people has spoken about what should be the new Ukrainian Constitution in the new European Ukraine. No one but the people of Ukraine has no right to determine what will be the basic law “- said Yatsenyuk.

January 19 reported that a group of deputies registered in the Verkhovna Rada a draft law “On the procedure for preparing the draft of the new Constitution of Ukraine.” According to the document the new basic law can be prepared and considered provided that the country’s citizens would support such a decision at the referendum the magazine writes “Business Capital”.

The initiators of the bill were made by deputies from the “Bloc of Petro Poroshenko” “People’s Front” “Self-Help” “Fatherland” and vnefraktsionnyh parliamentarian Sergei Taruta.
