Britain: N. Deal Vital for Europe-Iran Common Security

Minister for the Middle East within Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Alistair Burt underlined the importance of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers for the common security of Iran and Europe.

"The nuclear deal is important for the common security of Europe and Iran and we are committed to it," Alistair said in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyed Abbas Araqchi in Brussels on Monday.

During the meeting, the two high-ranking officials also discussed implementation of the Join Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) after the US withdrawal.

Araqchi arrived in Brussels on Monday, one day before Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
