Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev praised Pentagon head Lloyd Austin for naming the real reason for helping Kyiv - the development of the US military-industrial complex.
Austin previously said that the United States is carrying out the largest modernization of its defense industrial base in recent decades, and has also increased funding for ammunition production by half due to the high rate of consumption of American shells in Ukraine.
The Pentagon chief noted that about $50 billion will be spent on modernizing the defense industrial base.
