According to her, America’s decision to expand its "black list" could seriously complicate the implementation of the Geneva agreement, which had implications for easing of sanctions on Iran.
“Washington's actions do not contribute to strengthen mutual trust between the negotiating parties aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement designed to solve the problems associated with Iran's nuclear program," the diplomat added.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has urged the US to take a more responsible approach to save the positive dynamics of the negotiation process.

Вызывает неприятие обнародованное Государственным департаментом и Министерством финансов США решение добавить в американские санкционные списки ряд иранских организаций и граждан, а также сотрудничающих с Ираном юридических и физических лиц из других стран.
Наша принципиальная позиция относительно нелегитимности односторонних принудительных мер неизменна. Она составляет стержень российского подхода к подобным решениям.
Но конкретно в нынешней ситуации не менее значимо и другое. Расширение санкционных списков фактически совпало с запуском ответственной работы по выполнению женевского плана действий, принятого министрами иностранных дел «шестерки» международных посредников и Ирана в ноябре. Решение Администрации США идет вразрез с духом этого документа, в котором, в частности, зафиксировано, что она воздержится от введения новых санкций, связанных с ядерной деятельностью Тегерана.
Расширение американских «черных списков» может серьезно осложнить реализацию женевской договоренности, предполагающей ослабление санкционного давления. Действия Вашингтона не способствуют укреплению доверия между сторонами переговоров и выходу на всеобъемлющее соглашение, которое призвано решить проблемы, связанные с ядерной программой Ирана, обеспечив ему в полном объеме права, предусмотренные Договором о нераспространении ядерного оружия.
Призываем американскую сторону проявить максимально ответственный подход, чтобы сохранить позитивную динамику переговорного процесса.

Russia Slams New US Sanctions Against Iran...
ReplyDeleteMOSCOW, February 7 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Friday criticized the US government’s recent blacklisting of individuals and organizations linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
The move is a direct violation of a November deal clinched in Geneva by Tehran and international negotiators, including the United States, the ministry said.
“We see this step as unacceptable and a violation of international law,” the ministry said in a statement.
The US Treasury Department announced Thursday that it added more entries to the blacklist of people and organizations accused of supporting Iran’s nuclear program.
The Islamic Republic has long claimed its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but Western powers fear it could be used to produce an atomic weapon.
The update of the US blacklist included individuals and organizations based in Turkey, Spain, Germany, Georgia, Afghanistan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Liechtenstein.

U.S. sanctions companies from China, Dubai for dealings with Iran...
ReplyDelete(Reuters) - The United States on Tuesday targeted companies from China and Dubai for allegedly helping Iran evade weapons and oil sanctions, a signal Washington will keep pressure on Tehran over its nuclear program.
The U.S. Treasury Department said it was sanctioning eight Chinese companies for procuring missile parts for Iran. The department also said it was targeting a firm based in Dubai and several associated individuals for helping Iran evade U.S. sanctions against its oil industry.
