“The U.S. and Canada still cannot put up with the results of free declaration of will in Crimea and Sevastopol,” the diplomat said.
“They have imposed new sanctions against Russian officials of different levels and extended bans for normal economic cooperation.”
“Our advice to Washington and Ottawa is to think about consequences from actions of the kind,” he said. “And we shall work on retaliatory measures.”.
“In connection with the new sanctions against leaders and other representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk Republics, we are expressing regret about another demonstration of the West’s absolute lack of interest in settlement of the conflict in Ukraine’s south-east,” the diplomat said. “The main precondition here should be a constructive dialogue involving Kiev and Donetsk, Lugansk, while the sanctions are aimed at subversion of the political process.”
“The sly speeches about “caring for territory integrity of Ukraine,” importance of observing the Minsk agreements cannot hide the evident: another portion of the sanction “exhaust” in the U.S. and Canada is to support Kiev’s “party of war,” the foreign ministry’s representative said.

ReplyDelete«Η συμβουλή μας στην Ουάσιγκτον και την Οττάβα είναι να σκεφτούν σοβαρά τις συνέπειες των πράξεών τους» δήλωσε σήμερα ο εκπρόσωπος του ρωσικού υπουργείου Εξωτερικών Αλεξάντερ Λουκασέβιτς, σχολιάζοντας την επιβολή νέων κυρώσεων κατά της Ρωσίας, μέσω της Κριμαίας. «Έχουν επιβάλει νέες κυρώσεις εναντίον Ρώσων αξιωματούχων σε διάφορες βαθμίδες και γενικευμένη απαγόρευση των εμπορικών συναλλαγών, τοπριλίζοντας μια οικονομική συνεργασία».
Η Ρωσία μελετά σοβαρά την «απάντηση » με αντίποινα κατά των ΗΠΑ και του Καναδά, πρόσθεσε ο Λουκασέβιτς, τονίζοντας πως και οι δύο χώρες αρνούνται να αποδεχθούν την έκφραση της ελεύθερης βούλησης των πολιτών, όπως του λαού της Κριμαίας και της Σεβαστούπολης που επέλεξε την επανένωση με τη Ρωσία στη συντριπτική πλειοψηφία του.

Russia says it will not "cave in" to pressure, following a fresh set of US, EU and Canadian sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine...
ReplyDeleteA spokesman said Moscow regretted "that the West is yet again displaying a complete lack of interest" in resolving the crisis in south-east Ukraine.
Russia was developing "retaliatory measures", the spokesman said.
