“We welcome the entering into effect of the ceasefire agreement reached in Minsk, between the parties involved in the Ukrainian crisis.
“We welcome the entering into effect of the ceasefire agreement reached in Minsk, between the parties involved in the Ukrainian crisis.
It is now vital for the ceasefire agreement to be respected by all sides, for the diplomatic channels to remain open, and for there to be a credible mechanism for oversight and monitoring of the agreement’s implementation.
This is
vital in order for the ceasefire to be lasting and permanent, so that
the bloodshed can be brought to an end, so that the exchange of
prisoners and care for wounded can be facilitated, and so that a
political solution can be promoted, leading to peace in the region, an
end to the crisis, and lifting of the sanctions.”
